How to Select Your Onion
Choosing a fresh, uncut Empire-Sweet at your local quality grocer, look for an onion that is free of cuts and bruises.  It should be more firm and reasonably free of blemishes, have a short neck and dry, papery outer skins.  It should have a light amber/red hue with possibly a hint of green or yellow.

Empire-Sweets can be found in produce sections of your favorite grocery or retail store.  Below is a list of stores who carry the Empire-Sweet.  If your favorite market isn't on the list, ask them to inquire about stocking what is quite possibly the best onion in the world.

How to Store Your Onion
Empire-Sweet onions are more delicate than storage onions and will not keep as long. They should be kept
in a cool, dry, well ventilated place. They may also be refrigerated for a short period of time to maintain their quality.
